"Just wrapped up a crazy weekend at CalHacks11.0 last week. Flying out as a beginner was totally worth it! From exploring SF to joining workshops, attending keynotes from Alex Pall, and Aravind Srinivas and meeting some of the brightest minds in tech.
Huge thanks to the organizers and sponsors for hosting this amazing event. I really enjoyed some of the workshops including Snap Inc.'s AR workshop, where we got to play around with the new Spectacles in Lens Studio—such a cool way to dive into AR. Another standout was Cartesia's workshop, which introduced its multilingual voice model that could be tuned for various accents and emotions. That workshop is actually what gave us the idea for our project.
Together with my team Ridleigh Sivo, Michael Cao, and Caroline Møller, we built LegalAI - a multilingual legal voice agent that can help you understand any legal document in your native language, saving you thousands in legal fees. We developed this with people in mind who are not fluent in English or even people who just wanted to skip the legal jargon and simplify lengthy documents in a language they're most comfortable in. It’s definitely something I’d personally use and would love to keep developing someday."
